I'm not sure if he likes me or if he just think that i am weird..?

I was in a club with this guy and occasionally talked to him, but the club broke up so i decided i'd email him. He replied then i sent an email back which he never responded to. He's now in this new club that I joined and I haven't been able to talk to him but when ever I see him he's always at a distance he just stares at me and I just stare at him. I've thought of smiling but I'm not quite sure what he'd do when i do so i don't. I like him and i'm not sure if he likes me and is shy or just thinks that i am weird for sending him an over enthusiastic email...
