What does it mean when dead loved ones appear in your dreams?

My cousin and I was close he was found murdered in his shop 2 years ago.I had a dream he was dropping my mom off to my house and he got out the car I was in my bedroom window in my dream I was using sign language to tell him I love him but he was looking up saying he was going take care of me and that he will be right back to give me some money and I started to cry bc I was hollering I didn’t want anything I just wanted him to know I love him it seem so real and mom had got out the car and was just standing there looking at him but he look so happy. Why did he think I wanted money and what does he mean he will be right back and is going take care of me.
